So last night I was thinking... I'm sure each and every one of you have set goals in your life that you want to achieve right? You have your dreams, you want to be successful, etc. Some might even have planned or set a target, for example, owning your dream car in say, 5 years.

I have my dreams. There's a bunch of things that I want to do or achieve during my lifetime.

But then I thought... what if I don't get to achieve them? :| It kind of worries me to a certain extent to have all these dreams that I will work for, yet still have a fear that I will not be able to realise them.

Worst part is I feel like I'm actually running out of time.

Tell me. What are your dreams? Your goals? Have you achieved them? Are you close? :bucktooth:

hmm kinda deep topic subject ....

but in all honesty for me just still being alive and in one piece and not being behind bars, is in itself a godsend, as i grew up always terrified my life could be ended at any one point :(, I was very poor, I only had my mum, and wee lived in a horrible neighborhood.

Our main goal and yes we achieved it was to rise up out of that slum hole, and live normal lives.

No more gangs, no more crime, no more violence around every corner.

Every night i would say prayers for us both, and well yea now mum is happily remarried to a great and generous loving man.

and me well I am married, and have a very beautiful and loving wife :aww:

I have not gone back to those hard times since, in fact it's quite the opposite for me now, i travel in style, wear only the best, have a lovely home, nice car, wicked computer, and most of all I have love in my heart again, and i don't cry myself to sleep anymore, so have i achieved my goals ... hell yea and then some, i don't ever claim to be hugely successful at anything, i'm not that smart unfortunately, quite dumb, mainly due to my lack of schooling, and my penchant for drugs and doing bad shit, when i should have been studying :(

But meh sei lei vee ;)

it's in the past now, and i look forward to the future, and the life i may share with my wife and our little dog sasha :P

so yea as i said deep topic for me.

but you man your very talented, and seem bright, aware etc, you'll do fine, don't stress.

hehe in the ned you can't do worse than i did :P

one thing I've learned about goals and dreams is to have the ability to modify them or adjust them slightly. if you stay steadfast on making an exact goal happen on this date, you will miss out on making other goals.

i set a small list of maybe 10 items that i want to accomplish within a year. I'm horrible about procrastination, so i rarely make those 10, but sometimes im able to get all of them and more.

The only thing I do quickly is lose track of time.
I haven't set any goals yet that I couldn't achieve. I'm successful in my owns eye so far. one thing I haven't completely achieved is to get in great shape, but I am progressing. I can honestly say I've changed the way I eat, and during the school year I'll be taking a weights class. I'm working on the guitar (I dream of being a really great fast player, as well as able to play beatifully), and like you said, I want to be successful with whatever career I choose. and lastly I think I dream most of having the best partner for me. someone that loves me for me and doesn't care what I look like or what I do wrong but at the end of the day forgives me and loves me still; someone that is my best friend and my companion. :D

don't be worried!

Very true. Kinda like setting new year's resolutions... I've made a few last time, never really achieved any (not that I know of :P).
