Yeah! By request, from two people whom I forgot their names.
Aight, I wanted to do a Gulf GT40 version, but after hunting for pictures on the net, I simply counldn't get a good high-res pic (the best I found was 800X600) and I didn't like the angle. So the next best posibble thing is to do the new Ford GT! *clap clap*
So, let's see, things I'm not happy about :
The colours, especially the shading. Really suffered there. So, basicly that's it. I hope everyone enjoys this one, as much as the last one. Hope to hear your comments (especially on the colouring).
As usual, wallpaper availabel upon request.
Adobe Illustrator 10 (line art/colouring).
2-3 hours of work.
No music, a sore butt.
Yeah.
Looks a bit like a toycar, due to the perspective.
Maybe a shadow on the ground would help it out, and maybe some more highlighting.
It is very plain right now.
It only has midtones and dark tones.
Yeap, it does look plain.. the shading was really hard, the car colours and all. Someone wrote that red cars are hard to vector because they tend to be very reflective or something.
Shadows on the ground?
Hmm...
I don't really feel like working on this anymore, though if a lot of people say it looks plain I'll prolly try n' do something. Thanks for the comment.
yeah, I also think this needs a shadow on the ground... maybe some tire marks even. Just something to make it stand above the background, because right now it merges right into it.
I like it, its very much your style of vector... clean, simple, defined... and good colors. I think a shadow would help it out. The other thing I notice is that there are a few highlights on the front of the car, but thats it. It might improve it to add more highlights in other places on the body.
But if you don't feel like doing more work on it right now it looks fine as it is. You could always leave it for a day when you feel like vectoring, but don't want to start something new. Its a good job overall, just lacking a few minor finishing touches.
The problem was obviously that you were lacking your inspirational music...

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and *Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
