Can definitely see a progression of skill in your drawings, especially with the uniform shading. I'm not sure how to remedy the line you've drawn to accentuate the gloss (the curvy reflected sunline along the side of the car), so I won't be any help there. Other than that, the technique is coming along great. :cheers:
Yeah, I guess you just sort or dab it or something to soften it, but the grain (direction of pencil travel...similar to the 'grain' in meats when you're cutting them) would still be visible. On the other hand, it's also important to have the sudden transition from light to dark, as that's what glossy is-- it doesn't refract or scatter the light reflecting off of it, so images are clear and crisp against the paintjob. Interesting dilemma, that. Know any pros?
